Brooke Colburn is an Occupational Therapist with 38 years OT experience working with both adults and children. Brooke has had an extensive and varied global career. working alongside therapists from 11 nations. She is currently licensed and practising as an OT in Georgia, USA. Speciality Areas include: Osteoporosis Rehabilitation – Acquired Brain Injury, Neurology, Orthopaedic, General Falls Prevention and Management Aquatic therapy and sensory processing Functional Independence Measure Crisis Management, Trauma, Grief and Loss. Brooke is an experienced educator and has been a clinical advisor on many projects over the 10 years she has been consulting for Train IT Medical, especially in relation to allied health. Brooke hand wrote her own clinical notes for over 20 years before successfully transitioning to electronic records. Her clinical experience and change management expertise, particularly in relation to international EMRs, integrated team-care and measured outcomes provides constant inspiration and value to Train IT Medical projects.

Project Team Member Margaret worked as a Practice Nurse for 17 years before starting her own consultancy business – DARTA Medical. She has been training clinical software since the first version was launched and is an approved trainer for both MedicalDirector and Best Practice Software. Margaret continues to provide nursing education, software training and consultancy services to practices and aboriginal community-controlled health organisations across Australia. For the past 5 years she has been working with remote practices in Western Queensland on long-term data quality and health IT projects. She has a passion for working within rural communities and values the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse array of colleagues and clients. Working in remote Western Queensland has presented her numerous opportunities and challenges. These experiences have been instrumental in further developing her skills and enhancing her professional discipline.

Andrea Edwards has co-owned and managed a general practice in Perth, WA for the past 10 years. In this role she has successfully led her practice through the pandemic era. Andrea continues to provide practice management consultancy services for a remote WA Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) on an ongoing basis. She enjoys the diversity of working in both urban and remote healthcare settings and assisting practices overcome challenges, grow their businesses and teams. Andrea has completed 8 RACGP accreditation cycles and joins the Train IT Medical team of subject matter experts with a particular focus on Accreditation, MBS billing and Registrar training.

Monique Dickerson has 20 years experience training, facilitating and developing programs for the health, community, vocational and corporate sectors. She facilitates ‘Working with Trauma’ and ‘Domestic Violence programs for community health on a regular basis. Monique is a qualified EQUIPS facilitator with Corrections NSW and regularly facilitates the Aggressions/Domestic Violence program for offenders who are mandated to attend. In addition Monique delivers a variety of communication and parenting workshops and is a member of the development team for the award winnin ‘My Kids and Me Program’. As part of team Train IT Medical Monique brings expertise in adult education and group facilitation as well as being our subject matter expert on communications, HR and interpersonal skill development. Monique has co-created many workshops with Train IT Medical eg ‘Trauma after Bushfires’, ‘Elevating your compassionate communication after a traumatic event’ and ‘Dealing with Challenging Clients’.

Daniel has been on team Train IT Medical for over eight years, beginning as a 15-year-old intern. His early contributions included providing practical and administrative support at events, setting up IT systems and social media. Inspired by the incredible healthcare professionals he encountered during his time with Train IT Medical, Daniel pursued a career in nursing. He graduated high school with a qualification as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) and later advanced to become a Registered Nurse. After completing the 12-month GradStart Nursing Program he now works as a theatre nurse, where he brings compassion, precision, and a deep commitment to patient care. Despite his busy nursing schedule, Daniel remains an invaluable part of the Train IT Medical team. He assists with educational program development, contributes to social media campaigns, and provides insightful input from the perspective of a newly graduated nurse. His expertise in nursing and technology allows him to uniquely bridge the gap between clinical practice and digital innovation.
